Shock as Renowned South African DJ Shot Dead in the City of Johannesburg.
A popular South African media personality and entertainer has been shot dead in the country's largest city Johannesburg, causing national outrage across a nation struggling with rampant crime.
Warrick Stock, widely recognized as DJ Warras, was shot and killed in the central business district on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the forty-year-old entertainer was confronted by a trio of assailants, with one shot at him before fleeing on foot.
The purpose behind the shooting remains unclear and no suspects have been apprehended have taken place, police said.

Police revealed that Stock was attacked as he was departing from a location in the vicinity of the Carlton Centre.
He had spent several hours at the site overseeing the installation of safety equipment, which had been controversially occupied by unidentified individuals, as per local media.
"Authorities believe the deceased was confronted by three unknown suspects after parking his vehicle, and they began shooting at him before escaping on foot," an official report confirmed.
Surveillance tape showed a individual with dreadlocked hair and clad in what looked like a protective services outfit firing shots on Stock before running away.
The DJ tried to run away after he was hit but fell down on the opposite side of the road.
Officials noted that Stock had an gun that was not fired and it was not a robbery during the assault.
