Renowned Actor Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Recognized For Roles in The Middle and Friends, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.
US entertainer Pat Finn, who was seen in popular television series like Friends, "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has died at 60 years old.
The skilled improv artist succumbed at his home in Los Angeles, California recently having undergone cancer treatment since 2022, as reported by reports.
"He considered no one a stranger - only friends he hadn't encountered," his family shared in a announcement.
They added that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with happiness and energy".
An Extensive Television Career
His debut TV appearance was on a show starring George Wendt in the mid-90s, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.
He also had a regular part on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.
He appeared as the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, playing a party host famous for delegating unpleasant chores to his guests.
During the late 1990s and early 2000s, he had guest spots on a variety of well-known programs, including:
- King of Queens
- "Friends"
- That '70s Show
- House
Finn was perhaps best known for playing the character Bill Norwood in "The Middle", starring in eight series between 2011 and 2018.
His film credits are It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
Off-Screen Life
Beyond his acting parts, Finn was an improv performer and also taught at the Colorado university, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was a member of a six-member improv team named "Beer Shark Mice".
"Pat coached, befriended and mentored countless students throughout the years and it would be difficult to find anyone anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his family wrote.
Offering condolences, colleague and actor Richard Kind noted there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he shared online.
The actor is leaves behind his spouse Donna, his children, and his parents and siblings.
