Performer Denies Anti-Vaccine Views Following Voicing Controversial Covid Film

The "Taken" star has lent his vocal talents to a new documentary that casts doubt on the efficacy of vaccines and commends former cabinet secretary RFK Jr.

The Film's Provocative Basis

Called "Plague of Corruption," the film is based on a bestselling book co-authored by a controversial scientist, who rose to infamy during the health crisis for claims that Covid was caused by a bad strain of the influenza shot.

The publication's collaborator, Kent Heckenlively, has penned books with controversial figure the Infowars host. Heckenlively wrote online praising Neeson's involvement in the project.

A Strong Denial

A spokesperson for the actor have provided a response firmly refuting implications that he holds anti-immunization beliefs.

"Everyone can acknowledge that misconduct may occur within the medical sector, but that cannot be equated to being against vaccines," the comment reads. "Neeson has never been, and remains not, anti-vax. His considerable work with the global charity underscores his consistent support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

It noted that the performer had no hand in the project's messaging and that questions about its assertions should be directed to the creators.

Key Claims In the Feature

In the film, the narration provided by Neeson includes several controversial statements:

  • It claims that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "blind obedience" to public institutions.
  • It argues that "medical science has become deeply politicised."
  • Kennedy is interviewed stating, "The big problem with vaccines is that they just aren't properly vetted."
  • The narration takes aim at stay-at-home orders, claiming they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Concerning pandemic shots, it references a perspective that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Historical Controversy and Ongoing Issues

The documentary further cites a past television report about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the topic of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for editorial breaches.

In recent weeks, RFK Jr called on the CDC to change its long-held position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism. This supposed link is repeated in the documentary, despite a fresh analysis from the WHO confirming no connection has been found.

A Past Position of Support

Standing in contrast to the film's message, Neeson has in the past voiced strong support for vaccines in his position as a Unicef global ambassador.

In 2022, he described vaccines as "an incredible human success story," adding that "The conversation about vaccines in recent years has overlooked how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."

"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's script saying, "This isn't the conclusion of our narrative. Rather, it is the beginning of a new chapter."
