GOP governors in numerous US territories have placed National Guard personnel on readiness ahead of massive demonstrations opposing Donald Trump and his agenda.

Rally Scope and Organization

Organizers of the "Anti-Authoritarian" initiative declared that events are scheduled at exceeding 2,500 locations around the United States.

As per rally coordinators, the previous Anti-Authoritarian protest in June drew over five million participants protesting Trump's political approach.

State Actions

Executives in Texas and the Old Dominion have formally mobilized their regional National Guard troops, though the extent of military involvement remains uncertain.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott referenced the "planned antifa-linked protest" as reasoning for mobilizing regional troops.

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin similarly ordered deployment of the commonwealth's National Guard units.

Political Responses

Rally leaders portrayed the assemblies as challenge to Trump's "strong-arm tactics."

"The president believes his power is absolute," participants argue on their website.

"But in the United States, we oppose kings and we won't back down against disorder, graft, and cruelty."

Some GOP members have labeled the protests as "Unpatriotic" gatherings.

Kansas Senator Roger Marshall allegedly commented before the demonstrations: "It's necessary to get the National Guard."

"Hopefully it'll be peaceful. I have reservations," he concluded.

Democratic Response

Liberal figures denounced the deployment of National Guard forces.

Texas Democrat Gene Wu asserted: "Sending armed military personnel to control non-violent protests is precisely what monarchs and dictators do — and Greg Abbott just demonstrated he's among them."
